Château de la Chaize : Brouilly Combiliaty 2019
Beaujolais - Brouilly - Red Wine -The 2019 Brouilly Combiliaty plot-based cuvée marks the grand return of a typically Beaujolais vintage highlighting the freshness and crispness of Gamay Noir.
The view is illustrated by a pretty pale color of intense crimson red with purple highlights.
The nose reveals a great aromatic richness where we find notes of black fruits (blackcurrant, redcurrant), spices, delicate notes of black pepper.
The palate offers a frank attack, with a velvety mouthfeel as well as a greediness of red fruits underlined by beautiful soft spices. Very long finish and silky tannins.
Lieu-dit "Combiliaty" Brouilly 2019 is a mono-varietal in 100% Gamay Noir.
Southeast facing on a shallow granite soil, the lieu-dit Combiliaty is one of the greatest terroirs of the Brouilly appellation. Powerful, virile, the Combiliaty wine is made to be kept.
Château de la Chaize is a family property where the descendants of the founder, Jean-François de la Chaize d'Aix, have watched over the Château and its vineyard for 350 years. In 2007, they finally passed it on to another family, that of Christophe Gruy. With his nephew Boris Gruy, Christophe developed an organic conversion, then biodynamic, in order to promote a high-end vinification to get the best of the grape varieties.
Since then, the teams have never stopped renewing themselves and innovating to reach one objective: to make Château de la Chaize one of the jewels of its region. To give itself the means, the estate offers you to discover the Beaujolais according to a parcel-by-parcel approach.
This vineyard of 150 hectares of vines in the process of organic conversion has not finished surprising you with the richness of its terroir and the diversity of its sites.
The advice 12bouteilles: This Brouilly Combiliaty will go perfectly with beef tongue, a navarin of lamb or a pierrade. We advise you to serve it at a temperature of 15°C, it benefits from a potential of guarding until 10 years.
