Beaujolais - Fleurie - Red Wine -Brouilly Combiliaty 2019 is a plot cuvée from Château de La Chaize made from 100% Gamay Noir.
The year 2019 marks the return of a typical Beaujolais vintage highlighting all the freshness and crunchiness of Gamay Noir. This vintage gave birth to a wine with a powerful, virile style and cut for laying down.
This 2019 vintage is made from a parcel-based cuvée (100% Gamay Noir) from one of their 7 cadastral lieux-dits located in the Fleurie appellation. After a rather sunny 2017 and 2018, 2019 marks the great return of a typically Beaujolais vintage highlighting the freshness and crispness of Gamay Noir.
The sight presents a superb dress of passion red color and brilliant.
The nose offers a magnificent expression of aromas with notes of red fruits, raspberry, slightly smoked and dried flowers.
The palate reveals elegance and careful balance for this wine with Burgundian accents where the relationship between Gamay Noir and Pinot Noir is obvious. The mid-palate seduces with its finesse and its extremely rich aromatic palette (fruity, wild strawberry, blackcurrant, floral). The finish is long with a beautiful persistence of aromas worthy of wines of great gastronomy.
The cadastral place called "La Chapelle des Bois" is considered one of the greatest terroirs of the Fleurie appellation, located to the south-west of the eponymous village. The 3.2 hectare plot, made up of different types of granite, produces wines of great complexity and great elegance.
Château de la Chaize is a family property where the descendants of the founder, Jean-François de la Chaize d'Aix, have watched over the Château and its vineyard for 350 years. In 2007, they finally passed it on to another family, that of Christophe Gruy. With his nephew Boris Gruy, Christophe developed an organic conversion, the biodynamic, in order to promote a high-end vinification to get the best of the grape varieties.
Since then, the teams have never stopped renewing themselves and innovating to reach one objective: to make Château de la Chaize one of the jewels of its region. To give itself the means, the estate offers you to discover the Beaujolais according to a parcel-by-parcel approach.
This vineyard of 150 hectares of vines in the process of organic conversion will surprise you with the richness of its terroir and the diversity of its vineyards.
The advice 12bouteilles: The Fleurie "La Chapelle des Bois" parcel vintage will go perfectly with a turkey with honey, tagliatelle with mushrooms or as an aperitif with cold meats. For an optimal tasting, we recommend to serve this wine 30 minutes before at a temperature of 15°C.
