Garrus 2024 is the flagship wine of Château d'Esclans and one of the world's most prestigious rosé wines. Created by Sacha Lichine to demonstrate that rosé can achieve the stature of the world's finest wines, Garrus is produced from century-old vines and crafted using winemaking techniques inspired by the great white wines of Burgundy.
The 2024 vintage perfectly combines aromatic intensity, remarkable freshness and exceptional elegance, confirming Garrus as one of Provence's finest gastronomic rosés.
Appearance: pale salmon pink with brilliant highlights.
Nose: complex and refined, revealing aromas of white peach, apricot, citrus fruits, wild strawberries and white flowers, complemented by subtle hints of vanilla, toasted hazelnut and sweet spices.
Palate: rich, creamy and beautifully balanced. Its silky texture is supported by vibrant minerality, leading to an exceptionally long finish with notes of orchard fruits, fresh almond and elegant salinity.
Garrus 2024 is primarily crafted from Grenache from nearly 100-year-old vines and Rolle (Vermentino)
The grapes come exclusively from the estate's finest vineyard parcels planted on clay-limestone and gravelly soils in Provence, providing exceptional concentration and complexity.
The grapes are hand-harvested during the coolest hours of the day and meticulously sorted. Fermentation and aging take place entirely in large French oak demi-muids with regular lees stirring.
This meticulous approach gives Garrus its signature creamy texture, depth and remarkable aging potential while preserving freshness and purity of fruit.
Serve between 50–54°F (10–12°C). A short decanting of 15–20 minutes is recommended.
Garrus 2024 is one of the very few rosé wines capable of aging like a great white wine. Already magnificent today, it will continue to evolve gracefully over the next 10–15 years, making it a true collector's rosé.
