Château d'Aiguilhe 2016
Château d'Aiguilhe is considered one of the most beautiful vineyards of Castillon-Côtes, Bordeaux, near Saint-Émilion. Since 1998, the estate is owned by Count Stephan Neipperg and is located on the highest hills, along the right bank of the Dordogne.
Coming from a blend of 85% Merlot and 15% Cabernet Franc grapes, picked from September 30 to October 18, this 2016 is a proof that a great wine is not necessarily an expensive wine.
Château d'Aiguilhe 2016 has an intense red color. Its nose is a warm bouquet of black cherries, blueberries and sloes accompanied by light floral notes. On the palate, the attack is full and fresh with slightly spicy black fruit aromas. The palate is moderately full-bodied with fine tannins but still present.
This 2016 vintage, round, fruity, elegant is a very good Côtes de Castillon with a lot of elegance.
The advice of 12bouteilles: Serve chilled around 17 ° C open and decant at least 1 hour before.
