Tasting Notes
Appearance: deep garnet with purple highlights.
Nose: expressive and clean, revealing ripe black fruits (blackcurrant, blackberry), black cherry, cedar, graphite, fine spices and subtle toasty notes.
Palate: straight and harmonious, with a dense yet elegant core supported by fine, well-integrated tannins. Pauillac freshness brings tension and length to a persistent, refined finish.
Terroir & Blend
The vineyards of Château Croizet-Bages lie on deep Garonne gravels of the Bages plateau, ensuring excellent drainage and even ripening. The 2022 blend is dominated by Cabernet Sauvignon, complemented by Merlot and a touch of Petit Verdot, delivering structure, complexity and aromatic freshness.
Winemaking & Aging
Hand-harvested grapes with meticulous sorting. Traditional vinification in temperature-controlled vats with carefully managed macerations to preserve fruit purity and tannin finesse. Aged in French oak barrels with a measured proportion of new oak, seamlessly integrated.
Food Pairings
Perfect with grilled or roasted red meats, dry-aged beef, rack of lamb, game or refined sauced dishes. Serve at 60–64 °F (16–18 °C). Decant for 1–2 hours when young.
