Château Corbin 2022 offers a precise and elegant expression of Saint-Émilion. Located near the border of Pomerol, the estate benefits from sandy-clay soils with iron-rich subsoils, giving the wine depth, freshness and a particularly silky texture. The well-controlled 2022 vintage delivers an expressive, balanced wine with excellent aging potential.
Appearance: deep, brilliant purple.
Nose: attractive and precise, with ripe black fruits (blackcurrant, blackberry), black cherry, floral notes (violet), gentle spices, graphite and subtly integrated oak.
Palate: broad and harmonious. Dense yet elegant core supported by fine, velvety tannins. Natural freshness adds tension and length, leading to a long, balanced and persistent finish.
The vineyards of Château Corbin lie on sandy-clay soils with iron-rich subsoils typical of this privileged area of Saint-Émilion. The 2022 blend is largely based on Merlot, complemented by Cabernet Franc, providing structure, aromatic freshness and finesse.
Hand-harvested grapes with meticulous sorting. Parcel-by-parcel vinification in temperature-controlled vats with carefully managed macerations to preserve fruit purity and tannin precision. Aged in French oak barrels with a measured proportion of new oak, seamlessly integrated.
Perfect with roasted or grilled red meats, duck breast, veal fillet, slow-cooked dishes or aged cheeses. Serve at 60–64 °F (16–18 °C). Decant for 1–2 hours when young.
Château Corbin 2022 is an elegant, approachable Saint-Émilion Grand Cru. Enjoy now with aeration or cellar gracefully gaining depth and refined complexity.
