In this 2020 vintage, Marquis de Calon is one of the best 2nd wines of Saint-Estèphe and maybe even some Médoc. The wines are full, fresh, greedy, generous... a real pleasure.
Marquis de Calon Ségur 2020 is also a different expression of Saint Estèphe with a perfect balance between the Cabernet Sauvignon 50% and Merlot 49% complemented by 1% of Petit Verdot.
The 2020 vintage was matured for 18 months in French oak barrels, 30% of which were new.
The 12bottle tip : A wine that will wait a few years in your cellar but that you can already enjoy with great pleasure. Decant the bottle at least 2 hours before, serve the wine chilled at around 18°c. It will go wonderfully with red meats and cheeses.
In the appellation , you can also discover Chateau Lafon Rochet, Château Montrose, Château Phélan-Ségur, Château Haut-Marbuzet or Château Cos d'Estournel.
