Château Bouscaut Rouge 2005
Bordeaux - Pessac-Leognan - Cru Classé - Red Wine -Acquired in 1979 by Lucien Lurton, a well-known winemaker from Bordeaux who already owns a dozen other wines in various appellations, including Brane Cantenac in Margaux and Climens in Barsac.
Today, the 4th generation is in charge with Sophie Lurton, daughter of Lucien, to whom he gave the property in 1992. Since then, Sophie Lurton joins with her husband Laurent Cogombles, himself an ENITA engineer, to extract the best of this golden terroir.
The reds of Bouscaut are composed of 50% of the Merlot grape which gives them roundness and fruit. Cabernet Sauvignon represents 40% of the blend and gives them a lot of sap. Cot or Malbec reinforces the originality of our wine with its slightly spicy tip well recognizable. These are also, of course, wines of great care that will seduce and fascinate well beyond 15 years if we know how to wait.
This 2005 vintage is round, fruity. There is substance and character with Malbec spices.
Le conseil de 12bouteilles: Serve chilled 17-18 ° C, open and carafe at least 1 hour before tasting. Perfect to drink on grilled meat or in the oven.
