Bordeaux - Pomerol - Red Wine -Château Beauregard 2020 is a wine that we really liked, a very precise wine with great balance, beautiful aromatic complexity and great length on the palate.
The wine is balanced with silky tannins, lovely freshness and crisp fruit.The wine is well-balanced with silky tannins and crisp fruit.
To the eye, the colour is an intense red with violet highlights
The nose is dominated by black fruits, blackcurrants and cherries, followed by woody and vanilla notes
On the palate, the attack is straightforward, well-fruited, combined with a lovely freshness and harmonious length.The blend for the 2020 vintage is composed of 70% Merlot and 30% Cabernet Franc
Maturing was 18 months months, 50% in new barrels and part in terracotta amphorae.
The organically farmed vineyard produces organic wines.The Château Beauregard has been taken over by the Moulins (Galleries Lafayette) and Cathiard (Smith Haut Lafitte and Caudalie) families. A great deal of work has been carried out over the last 5 years, and the quality of the wine has improved considerably.
The 12bottle tip : Decant the bottle at least 2 hours before, serve the wine chilled at around 18°c. It will go wonderfully with your red meats, cheeses.
