L’Aphrodisiaque LV16 is one of the most confidential and sought-after cuvées from David Léclapart, a visionary grower-producer in Trépail, Montagne de Reims. From the 2016 vintage, this wine is crafted according to strict biodynamic principles, without filtration or dosage, delivering a Champagne of absolute purity and emotional depth. Each “LV” (Lot Vintage) represents the character of its year, and 2016 offers superb maturity paired with vibrant tension.
Appearance: pale gold with luminous highlights, very fine persistent bubbles.
Nose: ripe pear, lemon confit, almond paste, white flowers and a chalk-driven mineral backbone with subtle brioche notes.
Palate: precise and energetic attack, vibrant minerality, silky texture. Flavours of yellow fruits, candied citrus, roasted almond and a long, saline, pure finish with remarkable intensity.
Single-parcel cuvée from “Pierre Saint-Martin” vineyard in Trépail. Typical blend: around 80% Chardonnay and 20% Pinot Noir. Certified organic and biodynamic farming. Unfiltered, minimal-intervention vinification, often with no added sulphur during key stages. Extended lees aging. Brut Nature (no dosage). The 2016 vintage yielded low quantities but outstanding concentration.
Ideal with refined dishes: sashimi, marinated salmon, seared scallops, langoustines, roasted poultry or aged hard cheeses. Serve at 46–50°F (8–10°C).
