Red Wine -

This 20 years old Tawny Porto is a red wine by Burmester English Family, which is renowned for its Port wines and its know-how in the process of blending wines from their old vines.

Handpicked and elaborated on the Portuguese slopes "Vinha Ao Alto", the wines are meticulously designed to bring out their color and aroma, accentuated by the brewing during their fermentation. Its 10-year aging in barrels is evidence of careful aging.

Jamie Goode : 94/100

Amber brown. Dried fruits, raisins, dried herbs, rancio, hazelnuts, walnuts, cloves, nougat and light orange with a rustic and tasty nose. Pleasantly lifted. Sweet, full and balanced. Cinnamon, chocolate, nuts, citrus and light herbal notes. Velvety, sweet finish that lingers on and on. Easily one of the best 20 year old Tawnys.

Tasting note :

The dress: a golden color, with amber highlights

Nose: aromas of dried and sweet fruits.

Mouth: Composed by assembling wines from different crops to extend the sensory qualities typical of old Porto Tawny. This wine is refined, light, powerful and elegant on the palate.

The advice of 12bouteilles: To serve at a temperature close to 15 ° C, we advise you to open this port 1/2 hour before the service. Ready to drink, you can keep it until 2035 and more. The perfect Porto for a late dinner with friends. It can also be served chilled as an aperitif or as a dessert.
