The Pouilly-Vinzelles from Domaine La Soufrandière is a true benchmark in the Mâconnais. Directed by the Bret brothers, pioneers of biodynamics in Southern Burgundy, this estate delivers a vibrant and luminous 2024 vintage. Far from opulent wines, this cuvée stands out for its energy, straightness, and crystalline purity. A great, authentic, and living terroir wine.
Appearance: Pale gold, luminous and brilliant, with fine sea-green reflections.
Nose: Strikingly pure. Citrus (lemon, grapefruit), white flowers (hawthorn), crunchy pear, and assertive minerality (gunflint).
Palate: Straight, tonic, and mouth-watering. Fluid texture carried by vibrant tension. Sparkling, saline, and deliciously zesty finish.
This 100% Chardonnay comes from old east-facing vines on clay-limestone soils. The entire vineyard is certified in Organic Agriculture and Biodynamics (Demeter).
Manual harvest and indigenous yeasts. Long aging in vats and older oak barrels (no new wood) to preserve the wine's energy without masking the fruit.
Ideal with langoustine tartare, seared scallops, roasted cod, or regional goat cheeses (Mâconnais).
A wine full of life to enjoy today or cellar for 5 to 7 years. Decant for 30 to 45 minutes before serving, and serve between 11 and 12°C.
