La Soufrandière : Saint Véran "La Combe Desroches" 2022

Burgundy - Saint Véran - White Wine -

This Saint Véran "La Combe Desroches" 2022 is a plot-based cuvée produced by Domaine de la Soufrandière. It comes from vines taken over in 2016 by the estate and converted to organic and biodynamic farming. The parcel faces due east on the foot of the Roche de Vergisson and rests on a marly clay soil absolutely ideal for the development of Chardonnays.

Tasting notes:

The robe: pale gold with light green reflections

The nose: aromatic around the fruit (peach, pear), with fine notes of fresh almond, butter and even acacia

The palate: perfectly mastered balance between fat and acidity, complex, mineral (flint)

12bouteilles' advice: The perfect accompaniment to a seafood platter, a goat cheese or a veal blanquette, to be served around 12°C.

The Domaine La Soufrandière is a reference in the field of winemaking in the Mâconnais region of Burgundy. Founded in 1999 by the Bret brothers, this family estate extends over twenty hectares of vines cultivated in biodynamic agriculture. Their wines, made from Chardonnay, perfectly reflect the expression of the terroir and are recognized for their high quality. The Bret brothers attach great importance to respecting the environment and biodiversity, and this is reflected in their approach to production.
