Tignanello 2015 - Antinori : Tenuta Tignanello

Toscana - Red Wine -

Tignanello 2015 is a classic of Italy, produced in Tuscany by the Marchesi Antinori estate.

Tignanello is produced exclusively from the vineyard of the same name, a parcel of about 57 hectares with soils rich in limestone and exposed to the south-west above sea level. The wine, originally called "Chianti Classico Riserva Vigneto Tignanello "(a Chianti Classico Riserva from the Tignanello vineyard), was produced for the first time from a single plot in 1970. In 1971, it became a Tuscan red table wine rather than a Chianti Classico and was named Tignanello.

The 2015 vintage, regular in its different phases, produced a harvest of fully ripe and healthy grapes thanks to the very favorable climate throughout the growing season.

This Tignanello 2015 adorns a ruby red color, very intense. The nose is a perfect balance of aromas of ripe red fruit, blackcurrant and blackberry combined with hints of chocolate and liquorice. Rich and full-bodied, the palate has lively, silky tannins. A vintage of great complexity with a beautiful length.

The advice of 12bouteilles: Tignanello 2015 is to keep a few years before tasting at a temperature of 16 ° C. For a perfect match, serve it with a Mediterranean dish like Caponata.
