Located in the Lot Valley, the Cahors appellation is one of the oldest in France. Known as the birthplace of Malbec, it benefits from diverse terroirs of gravel terraces, clay soils and limestone plateaus. The climate, tempered by oceanic influences and continental contrasts, gives the wines their unique personality, combining power and elegance. Today, Cahors embodies the revival of Malbec, a grape that has become world-famous.
Wines from Cahors stand out with their deep dark color, intense aromas of black fruits, violet, spices and sometimes mineral or truffle notes. On the palate, they are structured with firm tannins, balanced by freshness. Powerful yet refined, they have excellent aging potential, developing notes of leather, tobacco and cocoa over time. Perfect with red meats, game, hearty stews and aged cheeses.
