Domaine de l'Aurage is a remarkable estate located in the heart of the Castillon Côtes de Bordeaux appellation, spanning 20 hectares of exceptional clay-limestone soils. Formerly known as Château Cadet, it was reborn under the leadership of Louis Mitjavile and his wife Caroline, who brought new life and vision to this historic vineyard.

Louis inherits the passion and expertise of his father, François Mitjavile, famed for transforming Château Tertre Rotebœuf into a benchmark of Saint-Émilion Grand Cru. That same bold philosophy guides Domaine de l’Aurage, where tradition meets innovation to craft wines of profound character and integrity.

Beyond their own estate, Louis and Caroline offer consulting to other Bordeaux vineyards, applying a meticulous and respectful approach to forgotten terroirs. This dual expertise – both in production and advisory – shapes Domaine de l’Aurage as a rising star in the world of fine Bordeaux wines.

Signature Wines with Depth and Elegance

The estate's flagship wine, L’Aurage, is a stunning blend of 85% Merlot and 15% Cabernet Franc. It delivers a harmonious structure with rich aromas of dark fruit, spices, and toasty undertones. Precision vinification and thoughtful aging give this wine the depth and finesse to rival many Saint-Émilion Grand Crus, while retaining the unique character of its Castillon origins.

Alongside it, the Versant cuvée (formerly Château Cadet) offers an approachable yet expressive interpretation of the region. Elegant and rare, it reflects the Mitjaviles' attention to detail and dedication to showcasing the purity of each parcel. Every bottle of Versant is a testament to artisanal care and creative vision.
