Maison Jean Huttard
Maison Jean Huttard
- Alsace -
The Maison Jean Huttard was founded in 1860, when a young owner of vineyards, forests and yards started making wine and marketing it. The passion was passed down from generation to generation until the arrival of Antoine & Hélène in 2016. Motivated and ambitious, close to nature, they convert the vineyard to organic farming and develop micro-cuvées from specific locations, with an ambition of purity and regularity. Their micro-cuvées come from specific plots, where the richness of the soil and the rigor of the winemaker lead to the creation of great wines: lieu dit Lerchenberg - lieu dit Burgreben - Grand Cru Sonnenglanz, Grand Cru Mandelberg, Grand Cru Schoenenbourg. Each wine has its own personality, it is an ode to the men and women who have marked, mark and will mark the history of our House. The 60 year old Chardonnay vines are located near the estate, around Zellenberg. The terroir is mostly clay and limestone, which reinforces its mineral side.
