Château d'Arche
Before the Revolution, the château was known as Branayre, a name that was once given to the château's second wine and now called Prieuré d'Arche. It was in 1733, when the Counts of Arche bought it, that it took the definitive name of Château D'Arche. In 1996, the Château d'Arche was bought and the team in place continued the work accomplished for centuries to make an exceptional vineyard while respecting the environment and ancestral traditions. Located on the heights of the village of Sauternes in the heart of a 40 hectare vineyard. Its geographical location allows it to benefit from a particularly favorable climate. This natural alchemy allows the development of Botrytis Cinerea, the noble rot, essential to the birth of Sauternes. The vines are planted on rich and varied soils which give birth to wines with very specific gustatory qualities: power on the gravel, aromas on the clay, finesse on the silt. The work of the vine, the knowledge of the blending, the mastery of the wine making, contribute to the exceptional quality of the wines of Château d'Arche. The wines of Château d'Arche are characterized by their elegance, their lightness and their greediness, can literally defy time.
