Louis Claude Desvignes: Pure Morgon Expression from Beaujolais

A family estate deeply rooted in exceptional terroir

In the heart of Villié-Morgon, the Louis Claude Desvignes Estate stands as a symbol of authenticity and excellence in the Beaujolais region. This family-run estate has passed through eight generations, maintaining a deep respect for tradition while embracing thoughtful innovation. Today, siblings Claude-Emmanuelle and Louis-Benoît Desvignes continue this legacy with care and passion.

The vineyard covers approximately 13 hectares, planted mainly with Gamay, the hallmark grape of Beaujolais. The soils, rich in decomposed schist and volcanic rocks known as "roches pourries", impart a unique minerality and depth to the wines. Each cuvée reflects the character of its specific plot, offering wines with structure, finesse, and identity.

Among the estate’s signature wines, Côte du Py is powerful and age-worthy, Javernières shows supple texture and elegant fruit, and La Voûte Saint-Vincent offers immediate pleasure with freshness and charm. Long fermentations using native yeasts and gentle aging in vats or oak barrels allow each wine to reveal its full personality.
