Château Fleur-Cardinale

Château Fleur-Cardinale

Château Fleur Cardinale, Grand Cru Classé of Saint Emilion with an area of 23 hectares was bought in 2001 by Dominique and Florence Decoster, former owners of porcelain Haviland in Limoges. They have since acquired the Château Croix Cardinale, neighbor of the Castle Fleur Cardinale and launched 2 brands: Secret of Cardinale and Cardinal Wood. The Château Fleur Cardinale is located on the slopes, clay-limestone soil on a rocky bottom, facing south south east, the vineyard is composed of a blend of 75% Merlot, 20% Cabernet Franc and 5% Cabernet Sauvignon. Thanks to investments and major works, under the direction of Jean-Luc Thunevin, then Jean-Philippe Fort, the Château Fleur Cardinale quickly becomes a safe bet. The quality of the wines of vintages after vintages is always constant. The wine is aged between 12 and 16 months, in new French oak barrels. The wines of a feminine style are deep, suave with aromas of ripe fruit, especially in the mouth, they are balanced with silky tannins.
