Château Haut Brion, a legendary vintage, an exceptional château, the most famous vineyard estate in Graves.
Château Haut Brion is located in the town of Pessac, and certainly produces one of the most famous wines of the Bordeaux region. It is the only castle of Graves to have obtained in 1855 the famous classification, it is now the leader of the wines of the appellation of Pessac-Léognan.
The culture of vines and wine has always been present at Château Haut Brion. These are Celtic tribes who began cultivating these lands for the vineyard and awakened the potential of this terroir to perfectly represent the wines of seriousness.
The estate was established in 1525 by the Pontac family and has since been renamed Haut Brion. The wines impress with their regularity, innovation always at the forefront, the commitment and the passion of the winemakers always to improve the quality of the wines.
The château produces red wines made up of 41% Cabernet Sauvignon grapes, 48% Merlot, 10% Cabernet Franc, and a very small tip of Petit Verdot.
White wines are made from two grape varieties, 51% Semillion and 47% Sauvignon Blanc.
The wines of the château are simply dazzling, full of curves, richness, aromatic depths and exceptional aging potential. For several decades, old vintages still bear witness today to the grandeur of the château.
