Long considered the second wine of Château Léoville Las Cases, the Clos du Marquis is now a full-fledged estate. It is the property of the Delon family. The Clos du Marquis comes from the great terroirs of the Appellation Saint-Julien that were not part of the cadastre of the former Domaine de Léoville. These terroirs are surrounded by prestigious Seconds Crus Saint-Julien and Pauillac appellations: Léoville Poyferré, Léoville Barton, Pichon Longueville Countess Lalande ... The Bordeaux grapes that make up this wine are mainly Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc and the little verdot. Wine lovers describe it as structured, complex, harmonious and distinguished. Come and taste the best vintages of Clos du Marquis for the greatest pleasure of your taste buds. The Clos du Marquis expresses perfectly the typicity Saint-Julien: structure, complexity, harmony, distinction and capacity of guard.
