Château La Tour Carnet is a property of Bernard Margrez, the diversity of its terroir and the constant search for perfection make this Haut-Médoc an exceptional wine which was classified as 4th Classified Growth in 1855. It is a of the oldest and most beautiful castle of the High Medoc, built in the 12th century, it is a rider who won this castle in reward for the immense bravery he showed in fighting alongside the lord Jean de Foix. known a long period of scarcity the estate is acquired by Louis Lipschitz, a Gironde owner, it restores the vineyards of the property and replanting all the damaged vineyards, the family will keep the Castle until 1999. Date when Bernard Magrez, also owner of Pape Clement acquires it. The vineyard of 73 hectares of the Castle is located between the municipalities of Saint Laurent du Medoc and Beychevelle. The vines are planted on soils of very diverse compositions of clay, limestone and gravels of Garonne and Pyrenean origins. The Château produces red wines composed of Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot and Petit Verdot, as well as white wines made from Sauvignon, Sauvignon Gris, Semillon and Muscadelle. Château The Carnet tower produces wines with a deep robe and mahogany reflections. The nose is complex with beautiful notes of cassis, cinnamon and wood. On the palate the tannins are thinly coated, balanced. The finish is balanced and generous.
