Château Ferrière
The name of this domain comes from its founder, Gabriel Ferrière who, in the middle of the XVIIIth century, was royal broker in Bordeaux and officer of the hunts of the King. In 1855, on the occasion of the classification of Médoc wines, Château Ferrière was ranked 3rd Classified Growth. Sold in 1914, then exploited by Alexis Lichine in renting. Château Ferrière is changing and constantly evolving since the arrival of the Villars family at its head in 1988. In 2013, important works were undertaken there. Claire Villars Lurton is the master builder, the Château is certified organic agriculture since 2015. The wines whose equilibrium is exceptional have a beautiful purple, dark and brilliant. The nose still very reserved, is distinguished by notes of black fruits and blond tobacco. The powerful and structured mouth leaves an impression of great freshness. The finish is long and elegant.
